Cold Morning in Fox Run Park

Here are some photos taken on a cold winter morning (5 degrees F, -15 C) in Fox Run Park, after a fresh snow.
The trees have an almost surrealistic feeling to them on a morning like this.
Only one set of footsteps leads down the trail ahead of me.
This was too cold for our little dog Socks, so he stayed at home. But I enjoyed it, and it's my frigid post for Our World Tuesday.

  1. A cold, snowy world it is, but beautiful and wonderful captures for the day, Al! I know Socks missed getting to go with you, but only because he doesn't really know how cold it is!! Give him an extra pat for Sam and I! Hope you have a great week!

  2. Yup, that's cold! Beautiful though. (I made my Colorado son a little crabby today by complaining about our 60 degree cold. Ooops!)

  8. Looks really cold, but beautiful. We have the same weather here now. Spring arrived a couple of days, but last night did winter return with a snowstorm.
    Have a nice week!

  9. Gillar träd mot vit bakgrund. Ni har inte så mycket snö där trodde det fanns mer.
    Ha en fin vecka

  10. So many of us in the Northern Hemisphere are desperate for the warmth of Spring. We had snow storms again in the UK today.

  13. It is warming up again in our area and should hit the high 60's by Thursday! Saturday's foot of snow should be gone by then.

  17. An absolute dream world for me as we swelter on our 10th successive day of temperatures topping 30C. Yesterday was 37C, today is forecast 38C+. Give me a cold, crisp day with trees dragging long shadows through the snow.

  19. Beautiful photos, Al!
The snow is still deep here in northern MN.. for each time the snowbanks settle & melt, we get another snow that brings them higher. :) We're enjoying it though!
